What are you hoping for this Christmas? A new gadget, novel toy, fun memories, good relationships?
There are lots of things that are on our minds this time of year and that we can set our hopes on. Matthew Hutchinson did a great job on Sunday reminding us of the importance of having our hope restored and of the restoring power of hope (check it out HERE).
This Sunday is our first Sunday of Advent and we will be reflecting on the Hope that we have in Christ even as we look ahead during the message to our theme for next week.
Lamentations 3:25 reminds us that “The LORD is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him…”
So, whether your hopes are up or down, I want to invite you to make time daily during this season to spend time with God and with others.
Tonight we will be gathering in the Upper Room at Cross Culture to pray and worship at 7 PM. Join us upstairs, or find another Friday or mid-week time to gather with others, for some deeper times of prayer to place your hope in Him and seek Him for yourself and on behalf of others so that God will do the Redeeming, Reconciling, and Restoring work that He wants to do in and through us!
